A classic robust porter bearing the familiar characteristics of bittersweet chocolate, coffee and toffee. We added a touch of spice by conditioning the beer with urfa biber (isot pepper), a Turkish chile pepper that confers notes of raisin, sweet tobacco and a wisp of smoke.

Pours an effervescent Hazel/ Auburn with a pinky of tannish colored head. Okay head retention & lacing
S: Coffee, some spicy red pepper. a little nuttyness. Raisins, cinnamon & toffee once warmed up. The nose is the star
T: Follows the nose, plenty of dryness/roastyness, some pepper heat presence, a little Black Pepper as well & woody hops up front. Hints of figs, plenty of dryness, leafy hops & now White Pepper as this beer warms up & watered down coffee persisting. Finishes sweet, dry with coffee, leafy hops & Brown Sugar & some pepper heat
MF: Medium body, somewhat firm carbonation. Body & carbonation drop off in a hurry
Super interesting beer, would go great with some Chili or Breakfast Meats & Eggs
