Lucky Seventeen is the product of our Imperial Stout aged in a single Blanton’s bourbon barrel given to us by Boyds Wine & Spirits. One sample of this barrel aged stout & we knew it was perfection on its own. Rich roasty chocolate-like flavors layer flawlessly with the warm notes of Blanton’s bourbon.

375ml bottle served in a tulip. Don't see a date on it. Got it in a Barleywine/Stout BIF #2 box from @bbtkd earlier today.
Pours darker'n a black steer's tookus on a moonless prairie night. Basically still, a few lone bubbles float around before expiring unceremoniously. Smell is big, rich, boozy. Vanilla and chocolate syrup, char and molasses. Straight up cocoa powder, with a background maple syrup vibe.
Taste is intense. Boozy. Sweet but not cloying, dark chocolate and vanilla cream, bourbon. Horehound, maybe cola.
Mouthfeel is thick, sticky, a bit on the heavy side -- just a touch of carbonation would help a lot. Overall, this is an excellent beer.

Sawyer Lucky Seventeen Blanton's BBA Imperial Stout, unknown ABV. Pours thick with a slight ring of brown bubbles that left no lacing. Nose is Blanton's, licorice, and maple. Taste follows plus chocolate, moderately sweet, slightly bitter, moderate bourbon burn. Mouthfeel is thick, sticky, and undercarbonated. Overall outstanding. They don't mention maple, but I'm picking that up, and it's sticky. They get points for using real wax, but lose points for small black print on the brown label.
