Undated can (probably 1-1.5 months old) poured into a Teku. Excited to try another Arvon hazie with Hallertau Blanc hops after really loving Silk in the Wind.
Pineapple-orange juice body with full haze, nice creaminess, and just a touch of murk (but no floaties or pulp). Creamy white head that falls to a foam cap relatively quickly but provides some really nice abstract splotches and streaks of lacing. Well-carbonated because any type of swish of the glass produces more bubbles and more film. Incredibly creamy and juicy looking beer.
Strong dankness, weediness, and green onion right out of the gate, which I really like. Strong citrus and tropical fruits come in the second wave but the oniony green remain a constant. The usual suspects are present: orange, grapefruit, mango, musky grape skins and green grape meat. Some berry elements and a little resiny pine. But this one is all about the greenery and onion on the nose, which I'm digging in a big way.
Heavy Southern Hemisphere influence on the tongue, with lots of grape, melon, lemongrass, and nondescript tropical notes coming through. Ruby red grapefruit plays a heavy role, and the greenery continues thought not nearly in the same order as the nose: here the grassiness dominates, though the green onion and dank weed still plays a big role.
Interestingly the beer is quite dry, when I expected it to be much juicier. There's still a very nice fruit and citrus element, but the dry grape and pithy grapefruit are really the biggest players. A little pith and biscuit on the back end. Quite lovely, though not as bold as other Arvon hazy offerings I've tried. And here there is zero evidence of lactose, which I've noticed in a lot of other Arvon IPAs.
Soft, silky, and moderately creamy body. Very easy drinking with no hints of alcohol.

A - Opaque and pale yellow with a finger of bright white head that settles to a fine white cap around the glass.
S - tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, dank and resinous, piney, orange rind. Smells delicious.
T -Loads of citrus hops, tropical fruit punch in the face, smooth feel, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, balanced out by a slightly dry bitter backbone. All the feels in this bad boy.
O - Home Run, Slam Dunk, Touchdown pass....boom. I'm two beers into the Arvon experience and I can see what all the hype is about.
