3-week-old can poured into a stemless, wide-mouthed wine glass.
Pure pineapple juice body with heavy haze, medium murk (but no floaties or pulp), and attractive yellow-gold coloring. Extremely creamy, tightly compact head the drops from a full finger to a latte cap (more than just thin film) quickly and provides some really nice abstract splotches and streaks of lacing. Well-carbonated because any type of swish of the glass produces more bubbles and more film. Incredibly creamy and juicy looking beer. If the coloring had a little more orange glow to it, it would be epic. As is, it's a phenomenal looking hazy IPA.
Incredibly juicy, fruity, and grassy nose. Pineapple, naval orange, grapefruit, green grape, light berries, papaya, and a little mango. Herbal and a tad green and starchy (no real hop "burn," however), moderately dank but not weedy or oniony, with a little melon rind and crackery malt at the back end. Incredibly bright.
Taste profile is fantastic, but not as good as what preceeded it. But that's OK, especially for a 6% (well, 6.9%) beer. Very grassy, herbal, and starchy up front, then ruby red grapefruit, semi-sweet berries, and red grapes take over. Some muddled citrus, stone fruit, and mild tropical notes blend in. Pithy, grassy, moderately bitter, and just a touch green (in an herbal, weedy way) on the backside, with a nice spike of mild sweetness that balances the bitterness well.
Not quite as silky and creamy on the feel as I expected, but incredibly soft and smooth. Well carbonated, goes down extremely easy.
