Month-old can poured into a stemless, wide-mouthed wine glass (my new favorite beer glass).
Orange-gold mango juice body. Full haze with a touch of creamy murk. Half-finger of tight, uniform bubbles that present a nice, pillowy, bright-white head initially, fall into a latte film quickly, but are reborn with a few strong swirls of the glass. Really nice streaks and splotches of soapy lacing. This one is a helluva juicy looker.
Huge Mosaic notes on the nose. Dank and grassy, strong citrus and tropical fruits, with a little oniony goodness on the back end. Very biscuity and sweet smelling, with strong overripe fruit notes. Berry medley, musky grape, with a little mint and green tea. Not as big as the ABV would lead one to expect, but I've had this experience with other Mosaic beers where a 2x or 3x version is made. Interestingly the strong aroma notes drop off quite quickly into a muddled salad of fruits and greens.
That bleeds into the tasting notes, which are far less layered and distinct than the nose. Semi-sweet, doughy, grassy and herbal (but only a tiny bit "green"), with a plethora of overripe fruit -- pineapple, nectarine, peach, mango, lemon, and berry. Faint traces of bitterness and pith, with the pleasant sweetness lingering until a sharp fall off to a distinct mineral note. Like it, but don't love it.
Feel is on point for the style and size. Silky and creamy without being sticky, very well carbonated (adding to the softness), zero booziness or heat (past the sweet overripe fruit notes, which come off as a bit boozy in and of themselves).
