6.5-week-old can poured into a Becher glass.

Creamy orange-gold body with full haze and a deep glow. Borderline murky but the coloring and glow keep in heavy-haze territory, not muddy. Sudsy and robust bright white head with big splotches and rings of foamy lacing. Absolutely stellar looking.

Pure fruit juice medley on the nose: orange, pineapple, ruby red grapefruit, mango, apricot, mango, passionfruit, white grape, and red berries. Has a nice weedy dankness to it, with a little pine and pith. Nice floral note with maybe a touch of green onion. Smells delightfully sweet but not overdone.

Sweet and tropical up front, with a slight powdered sugar vibe and plenty of stone fruit presence. Outstanding pop of weediness and green onion mid-sip that balances out the initial sweetness, then a great pithy citrus note to provide even more balance and layers. I've learned from my GR buddy that a little time in the can does these 8%+ Arvon hazies quite well, as the starchy greens need to mellow a little bit. There's still a sharp green bite present, but there are enough other things going on to keep it largely in check. And that green bite flows smoothly into a wonderful, bitter, semi-sweet grapefruit finish. There's some bready sweetness in the mix, and almost a sangria note on some sips from the mélange of ripe fruits. top of the heavy stone and tropical fruits. It's really a fascinating combination of flavors, some sips starting to go sideways, other sips reeling me back in with wonderful unique qualities.

Extremely soft and silky, medium-plus-bodied with a nice level of carbonation. Coating but not sticky. Fantastic fruit juice aftertaste. A little bit of heat but it's hard to tell whether that's alcohol ethers, overripe fruit, or the slight starchy green bite.

Overall, I think this one really works well -- at least this one can I'm getting to try. Probably not one I could drink multiple of in a sitting because there is SO much going on. But as a first beer of the night when you're craving flavor, a pour at the taproom when you're craving something big and bold, or a single slow-sipper after dinner, this as a winner. (But fair warning: this one gets SWEET as it warms.)
