I’ll own up to the fact that my experience with kettle sours is highly limited, as they are not a style that I necessarily seek out. So perhaps this was an exception, or maybe this is more in line with the norms these days? I found it to be mind-blowing—or palate-expanding—it drinks like a smoothie or a berry-forward fruit puree. I thought it was too much and not enough, and as much as I loved it I’m also glad with just one.

Pours opaque plum with a finger of pinkish head reducing to a pink ring chasing the liquid down the glass. Fruit purée clings to the glass. Smell is tart berry and cream. Taste follows suit with the creamy vanilla on the front and the berry coming through in the middle and a sweet bready granola aftertaste. Very full, thick, smoothie like beer. Loved it.

A - Pour s beet juice crimson / purple with a huge "puff" of pink head (ha!)... some spots after each sip, but the head disappears to a thin cap around the glass.
S -Tart apples, kefir, yogurt, raspberries.
T - Tart cherries, raspberries, blueberries, coconut cream, yogurt and kefir, lactose. Feel is creamy and balanced.
O- This is a really well done sour ale - not sure if I've had anything like it. For this style, I believe this is a world class offering that is pushing the envelop. A must try.
