Canned on 12/13/2022; consumed on 9/11/2023
Pours a static, imposing oil-black hue, forming no semblance of cap on the surface while the vaguest lining of collar hugs a glass retaining no lacing whatsoever; viscous and nearly still.
Aromas of heavy roast settle to subtle milk chocolate, burnt toffee, and cocoa graham cracker as barrel char builds to a massive, oaky overlay while notes of dark chocolate brownie batter fade.
Taste offers burnt graham cracker as a roasty barrel char resounds past the mid-palate, leaving soft tannins grazing cacao fudge as a bourbon spike hits toward the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a full body sporting slight slickness, richly textured with near-zero carbonation present; near-chewy; a sticky build coats the back end of the palate, leaving ample slickness as a weighty warmth finishes.
Barrel indulgence crashes through a rampant cocoa deluge; a formless void of density and rich, malt char coating the profile with almost one-dimensional excesses.
