Can: Poured a dirty yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with excellent retention and some good amount of lacing. Aroma of rustic malt notes with light peppery yeast notes and some herbal hops notes. Taste is a mix of dry rustic malt notes with some herbal hoppy notes with a dry aftertaste. Body is about average for style with excellent carbonation. Super enjoyable dry rustic saison with great yeast signature and just enough hops to create additional complexity.

Pours a hazy gold with an ample white head that sticks around for the duration and leaves webs of sticky lacing. Good retention. Both flavor and aroma are crisp pale malt, some peppery phenols and a bright floral, green noble character. It is made with ample doses of Triple Pearl and you can tell. The hops comes across as a layered, sweet-floral, faintly herbal noble profile. It is drinkable and pretty dry with active carbonation. It could be a little svelter in the feel for me but it was quenching and drinkable on the whole.
I really liked this one. It was neither amazing, nor bad. What really made it stand out for me was how well doing it as a single hop beer came across. Really highlighted the hop on top of a solid, simple and principally phenolic saison palate. I'm still unclear on what makes it "Russian" but I'm willing to live in ignorance.
