2017 Old Spike aged in a Bad Dog Distillery Rye Whiskey barrel for 7 months. Flavors of dark cherry, dark chocolate and tobacco with a slight tart aroma and taste.

Pours a clear dark red-brown. Not much foam. It's a little sweet and a little sourish. Slightly woody but not much boozy taste. Fairly malty but tastes like more of the sugar fermented out. There's an acidic touch in the finish.Rather bitter aftertaste. Pleasant notes of orange and raspberry, but not my idea of fun. On tap at the brewpub.
