12oz can served in a tulip. Dated 09/10/20.
Pours a very dark brownish amber with a medium head and a lot of carbonation. Smell is rich malty barley tea, maybe a little caramel or toffee or toast.
Taste is slightly roasty, lots of sweet barley, almost syrupy, but somehow pleasing anyhow. Definitely has more bitterness here, which is probably why the sweetness still manages to be pleasant.
Mouthfeel is thick and just effervescent enough. Pretty nice beer.

12oz dated 08-16-21. This year I would just classify it as too syrupy sweet.
