I was able to try this interesting beer on tap at the recent Stone Sour Fest 09.
I don't have any specifics on this beer yet but I'm looking into it and will add info when/if I get it.
Poured a dark brown with a creamy inch of mocha colored foam on top, excellent retention and lacing on the glass.
On the nose were some dark fruits, molasses, tart cherries, caramel, and sweet dark maltiness.
Vinegar upfront, bitter oak tannins, raisins, cherries, brown sugar, lots of dates and dark fruits at mid-palate, slightly tart in the finish. Low carbonation. Nice beer overall. Pretty much all 3 beers I was able to try from Valley Brew were solid and very drinkable.
