This poured as a hazy yellow color with a thin white head on top. Not much head retention or lacing to be had here. The smell is on the weaker side, really trying to pick something out of it but just doesn’t have much of anything on the nose... if anything the subtlest aroma of banana but with the lack of head and bubbles the aromatics just aren’t doing much. Even after swirling the beer in the glass there isn’t much happening here. The taste is odd, the banana notes are there but they’re faint, which this could be a good thing but there is an off chemical-like flavor coming off of this one. Very strange to say the least. The feel is thin and kind of watery. Something that has banana in it would leave me to think it’d have a touch more body to it. However, this is supposed to be a Lager so the thin body can be forgiven but it needs more of a crisp dry quality. Overall the beer just seems to be lacking a lot of the characteristics of what it should be.

I spoke with the owners and they used organic bananas and a very small amount of anise in the boil. Definitely can drink this beer all day. I hope this have this beer in the summer
