A: Pours a very dark brown, not quite black. Head was 3/4" thick, but faded without much lacing.
S: Mild toasted malt is the first thing I notice. Then, true to the "IPA" description, I detect grassy hops notes.
T: Tart, citrusy hops are dominant. The malt is more dark bread than sweet. The balance between hops and malt is near perfect, much better than most American Black Ales.
M: Slight dryness in the mouth, with nice carbonation.
O: Easily the best Black IPA I've ever tasted.
