From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via the brewery. This solid old ale pours a
medium dark mahogany with a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick
ring, thick clumping layer, and sports some very nice lacing. Nose of cherry,
dark sweet malt, spicy hops, herbal hops, and sweet caramel. Flavors surpass
the nose with cherry, cranberry hints, light fig, caramel, brown sugars, and
herbal / spicy hops. Nice mouth feel; medium body, light soft carbonation
leaning towards a nice English style, and a nicely balanced hop and malt
finish heavier on the hops but still nicely presented that finishes lightly dry.
Overall, excellent!
