A: Pours with a light haze, a pale yellow/orange color. A small white head forms, that recedes to leave some spotty lace behind.
S: Citrus and orange rind up front. Toasted, cracker like malts. That is is, overly simple but not particularly bad.
T: Follows the nose, with citrus and orange rind being the main fruit component. Toasted and cracker like malts. Again, overly simple.
M/O: A light to medium body. Moderate carbonation that becomes smooth. OK to drink, but not one I'm looking to have multiples of.
It doesn't have the banana like esters and spicy clove character, more citrus. Not that that is a bad thing entirely, but with the simplicity of this, it makes it seem more in the Pale Wheat Ale category, than a true Hefe. Easy enough to drink, and something you don't have to think to much about, but Southern Yankee does a lot better.
