On tap at Southern Yankee's Crafthouse.
A: Pours a clear pale yellow color. At first, a two finger bubbly white head forms, but that recedes quickly. Little lace is left behind.
S: Up front is husky wheat. Then a light biscuit malt, maybe some toasted malts in there as well. A light minerality and a lemony tartness. Subtle and well done.
T: This follows the nose, with the husky wheat, toasted malts, and that lemon acidity. Wonderfully tart and acidic in that regard. Really enjoying this.
M/O: A light body, with beautiful and crisp effervescent carbonation. The lingering acidity makes this wonderfully dry as well. Which all leads to a very moreish example of the style. I can come back to this again and again.
A great traditional example of the style. I rarely see a straight forward example of a Berliner Weisse, and really glad I came across this one. Well done and highly recommended.
