473ml can - another new Calgarian craft brewery, though apparently not born there.

This beer pours a clear, medium bronzed amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, rocky, and mildly fizzy beige head, which leaves some random chunky and curtain patterned lace around the glass as it rather lazily sinks away.

It smells of gritty and grainy caramel malt, a further biscuity toffee sweetness, faint stone fruity notes, some earthy nuttiness, and very plain leafy, herbal, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery cereal malt, saltwater taffee, some mild domestic citrus rind, tame ashy essences, a damp minerality, and more understated earthy, musty, and floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-supporting frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting in the way of a swell time at this point in the process. It finishes off-dry, the malt running the lingering after-party.

Overall - this comes across as a pleasant enough version of the style, mainly malty, with a more or less balancing hop schedule. I don't know what exactly makes this an 'autumn' offering, other than it being released during the current season. Or maybe I try to read too much into things. Maybe.
