Poured from the crowler into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Dec 12th 2018.
Bit of a dull slightly orange to brown colored body color, with a hint of amber like yellow. Opaque but not muddy and certainly not turbid. Two finger head, bright white with very soapy lacing and retention. Some nice pill like bubbly lacing on the glass, and a bit of thick collar, and fine hollow puck.
Good solid hop aroma. Mixture of sweet spice, and has that little bit of dill pickle brine smell going on. Slightly chewy sensing malt body on the nose, but definitely hop forward. Even the hops almost provide a minty sweetness it seems.
Palates seems a little underwhelming but not terribly so. Light bodied almost session like wet in mouthfeel. Slightly fleeting bitterness on first sip that isn't really distinct, but some of the flavors eventually start to come. A bit of green resin, with a soft leafy sensing herbal flavor seems to be the most noticeable. Aftertaste is a little fleeting on the finish as well. Slight touches of wet candy on the finish interestingly.
Drinkable IPA, but this one seems lack a bit of defining character in flavor particularly.
