Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned February 20th 2020. Heavy Breathing.
Pale amber body color, a mix of nice dark orange, but a very shaded brown/amber hue to the body color. Slightly opaque, fairly uniform in color and dense looking. Head creation is just a simple three finger off white top, good retention, and a little bit of ring and clumpy lacing. Solid looks in the IPA department.
Very nice aroma but exceptionally closed and quiet. Hints a little sweet tea exotic, with touches of floral and herbs, but hard to notice on the nose. Unfortunately not that large, but pleasant, but also not much going on.
Palate seems a little bit straightforward. Juiced candy like flavor, that's hard to put into words. Mid palate has a decent supportive mouthfeel, with touches of malt sweetness mixing with a hop angle that's sort of somewhere between beeswax and florals. Good mix of honey like malts on the finish, giving to a candy like sugar on the finish as well, with a faint balance of hop bitterness.
Kind of a somewhat pedestrian IPA, but not a bad one with an odd hop profile.
