Poured from the crowler into a Libbey style pilsner glass. Canned March 21st 2020.
Big bubbled, and frothy large bleach white head easily three fingers, with shampoo like retention and big bubbles. Settles to a clear bodied classic dark brass yellow body, with minimal rising carbonation.
Clean sensing nose, a little bit of sticky bready like yeast, but there's a slightly fruity tone coming off this that seems slightly tropical. Not expected but very nice aroma for a light lager.
Palate gets a bit more simple. Large and sticky malt body, hints of thick honey but with less sweetness in flavor. A bit syrupy body but solid giving a chew malt sensation and nice herbal hop presence. Aftertaste is quite ok, but manages a bit of sticky malt qualities and some green herbal good lingering bitterness.
Not too bad, but the palate and thick mouthfeel sort of make the brew a bit too sticky and thick for my tastes in this style vein. By no means a bad beer though.
