Poured from the can into a branded tulip glass.
Opaque dark yellow, not so much muddy or turbid but solid looking. Very creamy looking colored white head, not bright or dull, but not off colored either like khaki or yellow. Creation is minimal though, barely making more than a big finger of height, but settles to a thick collar and a little lace.
Very good hop aroma. Tinges of spicy pepper and large tropical fruit notes hit with a real pleasure. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango like character all over. There's a nice spicy not that makes it have a bit more character, ranging from black pepper to leafy mint and tea, but with a good kick. Sweetness is not overbearing either, very minimal. Very nice.
Palate sticks more to basics, and simplicity, but with a great profile. Chewy delicious feeling palate, with a good hit of depth on malt. The hops make a real noticeable presence. Much more of a bitter angle that gives to peppery warmth in the mid palate, and that touch of tropical fruit sweetness. Hot menthol herbs matching with some citrus and pineapple like flavors that roll of the tongue nicely. More quick pepper on the finish that makes a good cut through some of the tropical sweetness.
Real good solid new hop IPA. Keep them coming!
