Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Dark orange, almost a peach like orange color and fairly opaque. Not horribly cloudy in appearance, and minimal carbonation. Head creation manages a simple white three fingers, and a good amount of simple ring lacing. Very nice looking IPA.
Nice hop aroma that goes from a sticky like resin, to dank earth quality. There's some sort of exotic perhaps tropical fruit like flavor coming off this also, but much of it is a sappy sticky like quality. Interesting, not sure where this is going, but a solid new IPA aroma.
Palate seems to interestingly go for basics. Good bitter note on first sip, much unexpected and seems to hark back to classic old school American flavors. Leafy and dark green herbs and spice really coat the mid palate nicely. Finishes somewhat fruity but gives to more bitter spice tones on a solid slightly hinting sweet malt backbone for balance as well.
Just a solid good rounded IPA.
