Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Quite a nice bright glow to this opaque nut not turbid body. Bright and gleaming dark yellow, and just slightly orange, with a few noticeable clear rising bubbles as well. Classic bleach white head, but smaller than usual at just a little over two fingers, however still manages classic IPA retention and staying power and some beautiful ring lacing.
The beauty continues on the aroma. A real big hop fruit smorgasborg going on here. Loaded with zesty like citrus notes, but flesh ripe melon and tropical notes abound also. Candy like peach and apricot fuzz abound as well. Neutral sensing malt and yeast get out of the way and rightly so for this great nose.
Palate just sings. Mid palate fills with hop galore, amongst a real creamy filling rich body. Flavorful hops run the roost here, a first big rush of cantaloupe and green melon sweetness, then some dense malt and spicy mint to herbal pleasure. Finishes with countering bitterness and warmth, with hints of exotic guava and kiwi notes. Rushing, juicy thick and bold.
A big hop delight on this one, flirts with NEIPA style and new age hop flavors, but stays just a bit more rooted in classic bitterness. Excellent job.
