Poured from the can into a branded tulip/goblet snifter glass.
Real nice colored dark walnut black and red tinted body. Very nice creamed top of light mocha brown, makes a good three fingers, and some slow settling down like an elevator to a very thick crowned collar. Great looking stout, really dig that body redness touch.
Solid and delicious aroma. Very diverse with much going on for a basic stout. Nutty at first then seems to go to dark chocolate with more of a cocoa nib dryness flavor. Coffee follows as well, with some char and ash. Really comes off diverse and complex but not a mess and well integrated. This is lovely.
Palate luckily continues excellency. Very good hit of creamy body, just a touch but not into stratosphere level. This creamy character really elevates the flavors, pulling a real nice deep chocolate, but with minimal sweetness and more nib and char like roasty flavors instead. Finishes with milky goodness flirting with vanilla but stays away from lactose and goes for more ash, roast, and almost wood like aromas and flavor.
Really great tasting stout, this is a real winner.
