Poured from the can into a branded tulip/snifter globe like glass.
Creamy and milky looking off white forming head. Manages only about a little more than a finger, but sits like a good brick. Body color is a hazy lemon, somewhat darker yellow, with a sense of slightly dull shine. Pretty simple and nice looking IPA.
Aroma has a hop forward note that hits dank earth, but is very burnt wood earth like in flavor on the nose. Flirts with a touch of citrus, maybe a bit of lemon to orange zest like oils are squeaking though as well. Surprised by the dank forward approach, but it's very nice.
This is an interesting palate. Very nicely light bodied but supportive. Has a chewy sense of malt, and a big earthy and really grassy fresh push of hop on the first sip. Clean tasting mowed lawn, if that's how I could describe it, with a good green to pine like mid palate flavor.
Good solid bold IPA, kind of lacks in the fruity hop West coast style a bit, but is a good IPA that packs a punch.
