Poured from the can into a nonic(k) pint glass.
Muddled looking body of a NE like slightly dull orange and dark yellow. Not a turbid mess, but a somewhat lifeless look, with a good appreciative strong head. Big top reaching easy three fingers with good staying power, under some very fine and bright white bubbles. Decent cling and a top little bit of settle.
Very nice unique hop forward but not explosive aroma. Soft exotic fruit, kind of like a mix of boysenberry and white wine grape deliciousness. Touches also a little bit of weedy dank earth to make things playful too.
Palate is spot on. Rich tasting with a bold hop profile that is more of a melon and tropical note. Still some stone and exotic berry fruits come in the mix with a super creamy mouthfeel and a sweetness to counter the hop flavor. Finishes with real spicy bitterness for even more of a playful and diverse palate. Tastes of sweet custard to make it even a real nice contrast, and really showcases the soft and thick mouthfeel.
Definitely hop forward for a pale, but can't complain here, especially with that low abv! More please!
