Poured from the can into a wheat ale style glass.
Supper bubbly, and big bath foam consistency and bright white head, Reaches easily giant fistfulls in hefe like character but with different retention. Kristallweizen like body, mirror clear and good amount of carbonation. That head is just massive and soapy, reaching like a skyscraper but with IPA like retention and cling, even a matching island puck that is big bubbled and craters fast.
Very expressive aroma. Hop forward, with a bit of stinky/stanky earth like weed. Very odd sensing hop angle, a sort of earthy sweetness mixing a smokey burnt aroma. Neat sensing, but really out there and doesn't give much expression to malt or yeast.
The palate is interesting. Sticky resin, and somewhat sappy finish, an expected hit with the earthy nose. There's a touch of fruit that is hit with dank power of the hop angle. Definitely hop forward not giving a malt distinction again, but supportive and not wattery either. Perhaps even hitting a chewy like feel too which would be on par for this style.
Real hop forward ale, with a unique enjoyable profile, but a neutral presence for everything else that is slammed by hops. Still makes a good drinking experience.
