An All Black lager with a hints of claret, classic dark lager mouthfeel and inspired by our times in Europe. Crisp and balanced by specialty and roasted malts for complexity.

Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.

Deep real nice dark reddish brown like pecan color nut practically. Tan like head flirting with khaki yellow and has a bit of snapping bubbles while dissolving. Manages a good easy three plus fingers and a big bubbly collar with some light ribbons of lace.

Real adventurous aroma. Mixes light coffee sensing flavors and then more bready malts of pumpernickle and even some sticky molasses for sweetness. Clean with even hints of cherry to prune like fruit as well which is impressive, and clean all the way.

The palate is a real enjoyable surprise. First sip is a rich malted body, giving to a sensation of nearly liquid toffee. Slight sticky notes, but clean body and feel with a first taste of light coffee and crisp brown bread crust. The aftertaste is a real surprise, featuring a nice milky chocolate and drizzled like caramel, without a big amount of sweetness but just enough. Cake like and dessert finish, even a little touch of dark spices, but with bready and lager crispness that stays rich and full.

Real good solid tasting schwarz.

16 oz pour at Lures Bar & Grille into a pilsner glass. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a small tan head. Aroma and flavor feature dark malt, cocoa, bitter coffee, and some earthy hops. Mouthfeel is prickly and a little bit thin. Overall it's a solid and enjoyable black lager, though not one of the better ones I've had.
