Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Slightly turbid, and almost sludge like in the body appearance, but has some noticeable clear bubbles and a murky off brown custard yellow color. Classic creamed white top with fine bubbles and stretching an easy three solid fingers, with thick sheets of lacing.
A very bold fronted aroma. Heavy hop notes of earth, and particular a unique spice and great white pepper like note on the nose. The Pepper aroma dominates large, but surprisingly gets more softer and almost hints sweet. Neutral malt and yeast profile.
Palate contains much of the aromas flavor for a nice experience. Slightly hinting of a thicker mouthfeel, but subsides to just be supportive of the flavors through a faint sweet malt, that almost accents a peach like hop accent as well. Mid palate hits with earth and dank touching flavors. Finishes with lots of earthy weedy smoke, and lighter pepper accents, almost to the point of numbing.
This is pretty solid, but some of the warmth and numbing overall makes for just a solid good experience than a great one.
