Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Fairly standard looking NEIPA. Opaque and luckily not too cloudy. A bit of shiny dark lemon yellow, and a really nice creamy bright white forming big head. Head reaches an easy three fingers and sits like a dollop of ice cream on top not even budging. Some nice pill and tiny lacing makes it's way around as well.
Interesting hop aroma. For this variety a neat mix of earthy dank qualities, with dry herbs. Has that slight weed like character but much drier and less pungency, sort of I could say less thick sensing. There's more of a dank herbal action to this which is quite nice and simple. Has it's little nuances which are kind of neat on the nose.
The palate comes out it seems real superior though. Juiced up with a bigger thickness of malt and a big bitter and sweet earth and tropical flavor. Mid palate rushes with a unique creamy and fruity flavored bitterness of hop tropical fruit, mango and bitter green herbs. The finish is exceptionally pungent but light and green bitter spicy.
Real unique tasting single hop beer, the No Mates series is always a blast.
