A 750ml bottle, bottled on 20th July 2021, with a best before date of 20th July 2026. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass. Brewed for BXL BeerFest 2021.
Appearance: A hazy pinkish orange colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving only sparse to no lacing.
Aroma: Raspberry, candied raspberries, lime juice, rosé vinous.
Taste: Sweet and sour raspberry, grape, lime zest, rosé vinous.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: An interesting beer-wine hybrid. Very rosé wine and raspberry puree forward, while the brett seems rather muted.

BXL beer fest bottle. Wine/beer hybrid.
If you don’t like / cannot appreciate wine, this ain't for you. Its straight up sparkling rose. Not like a rose de noir. But like a carbed Provence rose, complete with the minerality and acid backbone you’d expect from a wine from Provence. Its quite refreshing. And very nice.
If you need a “beer” to convince your wine drinking, beer adverse better half that there is more to brewing than just hops, malts, and water, give them this. Truly a gateway beer. Though, I’m hard pressed to find anything beer in it. Maybe in a few years when the brett dosage kicks in. I need more for that day!
