Brauerei Flügge “Röik”
,33L brown glass bottle; “Mindestens haltbar bis: 18.06.23”
€5,50 @ Naiv, Frankfurt, DE
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a sour beer & wine blend featuring 2020 Riesling from Daniel Mattern. It’s poured a mostly clear, light straw gold body beneath a short head of bright white foam that’s held up quite well for being a sour beer. The aroma is mineralish, and not surprisingly a little like white wine. The flavor takes that further, however, and you can clearly taste the Riesling in it. It’s tart but not too tart, and balanced by its sweetness. There’s very little bitterness to it but none is needed. It finishes tart, dry, and a touch chalky and mineralish. In the mouth it’s light bodied and delicately crisp. I find it refreshing, and quite interesting although a little one-sided.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
