Tactical Brewing Co. "Wizard Tooth"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is an "amber oat lager". It's a clear, reddish brown at around 16 SRM, and the head is a short cap of off-white foam. In the nose it's clean, malty, lightly caramelish, toasty, and floral. The flavor follows and I wonder where the oats got to? They're not in the appearance, and not clear in the flavor, but maybe they're lending to the floral aroma? Perhaps. It's pretty decent and I'd call it a Vienna lager myself regardless of the use of oats. It's got a median bitterness of around 30 IBUs and it finishes floral, toasty, and dry. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. Both the head retention and lacing could be better but I have to give it a bit of a pass as I'm not sure how "beer clean" this glass is.
