Kolos OAO/ Ledyanoy Stakanchik

I tried this "traditional" brew at the brewery's bar on Sakhalin Island. It came out clear medium gold with, well, no head at all. I watched the bartender pour it, so I know it didn't sit too long. There's really no smell here, either. The mouth is quite light and medium carbonated. The taste varies among mild malt, slight hoppy bite, and moldy peach. The aftertaste somehow manages to combine the best of these features, such as they are, so that the brew is just barely drinkable. Still, life is too short to spend time on this "tradition."
