Pours very dark brown, but not quite black. You can see ruby color coming through the bottom edges of the glass. thick cream colored head, decent head retention. Only moderate aroma, but its a pleasant smell of mildly roasty dark cocoa. Taste is similar, mildly roasty and toasty malt. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Pretty spot on for the style.
