had on tap at the brewery 6/17/21; this is from my notes
pours a yellow gold body with a cream colored head that has no retention and leaves no lacing behind as it settles to a faint halo
aroma is malty and...salty? yep. kinda salty. but mostly malty! dab of citrus in there at the end. the malt is thick and candied
taste is, again, mostly that thick candied malt, but with an interesting saline and lime jolt. bartender offered me a lime with this one (I denied) and now I get why.
mouthfeel is high carbonation and watery bodied. finishes citrus bright.
overall:
yet another pretty funky (good way) brew from this joint. this little malt bomb keeps it interesting and cements my inclination to trust this brewery with anything malty going forward. their hop-works can use some (well) work, but malt's'ahoy to the max with this crowd so far. anyway. it's a malt-forward pale. it's not hoppy, but it's not trying to be (i don't think) and that's okay. you can feel the intention with this one and that goes a long way with me, personally.
