The West Coast introduced us to the big and bold IPA. Sequoia, known for its immense power and beauty, is the inspiration for our representation of this style of beer that delivers a malty sweetness, piney bitterness, and clean dry finish. Enjoy this high IBU hopped with CTZ, Centennial and Cascade hops. Much respect to the West Coast hoppy beers!

Pours a darker lemon color with a good head. Aroma is fairly nondescript. Tastewise, I really wanted to like this, but there's an off-putting taste that I can't put my finger on - maybe it's the CTZ hops - I don't know. It gets in the way of the West Coast attributes and detracts from the flavor. It almost tastes like the beer needs to mature longer. Becaue of that, I really can't recommend this beer.

Poured from a 16 oz can , undated, and purchased at the brewery.
A - Lovely late sunflower color, excellent clarity, active carbonation feeds a never leaving thick white cap.
S - Pine, a bit of lemon, papaya, with a spicy white pepper. Lightly roast malts do indeed balance this one with a solid push back against that bitter assault.
T - All of the aromatics, with a noticable grapefruit rine bite.
M - Medium in body, on the creamy side for a beer with such a (beautiful) bitter bite.
Finish is clean and dry.
O - A wonderful West Coast representation, and one I will return to purchase again

Amber color, nearly clear. Moderate, lasting head. Streaky lace.
Buttery nose, like movie popcorn. Caramel?
Smooth and rich body with enough carbonation to prevent it from being cloy. Strong Amber Ale flavor of toast, cream, and caramel. The hop is straight up bitter, providing a longer aftertaste.
