Poured at 51 degrees. Canned on 02/04/26.

Look: Clear dark gold with a medium white head that has ok retention but leaves nicer lacing.
Smell: Light grain and biscuits.
Taste: Very slight honey upfront but it’s overpowered by bitter biscuit.
Feel: Wow. Full in the mouth with medium but softer carbonation. Very nicely done.
Overall: I’m glad this beer is not overly sweet (actually it’s not even remotely sweet) but I would like to be able to detect some more of the promised honey. At first I was disappointed with this brew but it slowly grew on me. Not a great beer, but I’d definitely recommend trying it.

crazy how every brewery in reno seems to have a blonde type honey beer, like every brewery we hit, wild. this one is tasty, the honey is front and center, its not overly sweet, but its also not incredibly well refined, and despite being pretty drinkable, i would not rate thing among the best on their very impressive beer menu here. a muted looking pour, slightly dull and a half shade deeper than expected, not holding much head but with a short white layer of bubbles on top and just a little bit of lace as it drinks. the nose is floral from the honey, lightly spicy even, but its got some malt sweetness and a little yeast weirdness too, this isnt as clean as it should be, not gross or flawed, but not tidy or expert either, ever so slightly soapy, but the honey is natural and forward, and i think thats the point. the flavor is similar, some generic pale barley with some residuals, a graham cracker note, a purer honey without it being super sweet in the middle, the slightly stressed fermentation element, and finally some minerality that approaches metallic as it warms. i actually like this a little better than the scores ive given it, like its not objectively great beer and i cant rate it like it is, but it kind of hit the mark for me as a session beer during the football game, and while it could definitely be improved with some attention to detail, its still solid. had a blast here at the brewery, great service, beers, and spirits, fun vibe, we went two days in a row! well worth a visit!

Here in Reno and indeed, this local offering was on Tap at Abby’s as this was the first brew that I ever reviewed from 10 Torr. Can’t say that I ever had a Cream Ale on tap, unless something from Carton was on tap at the Cloverleaf, but this was an enjoyable brew to have in a pint glass as it was full and flavorful enough for me!

Not a surprise that this was honey in hue and capped with a thin head that quickly settled. The lacing that remained was quite extensive, but only above the top of the liquid. Lots of honey, cream, and soda sweetness in the nose as the taste was just as lively. Hints of sarsaparilla, cream soda, and cereal on the palate as this was nicely rounded out on the palate. Slightly sticky and plenty creamy, this was a good take on the style that was full of honey as the presence of it stick around long after the last sip.

No hint of alcohol was to be found here as I could easy quaff a few in one sitting. A good example of this style should have a near-universal appeal to it and indeed, that was true for this beer. Some graham crackers or gingerbread desserts would be a perfect pairing for this but as it was, this was a perfect nightcap by itself!
