A clean, crisp, and refreshing German style. Light gold in color, with a noble hop character and slight floral aroma

2023 World Beer Cup Gold in the German-Style Koelsch category

Story: This beer pays homage to the Voss family. Voss is Liz’s maiden name, and the name of Justin and Liz’s son. A family ingrained in Sonder roots

12 oz can canned 8/2/23 into a Kolsch glass.
L: Pours crystal clear golden light amber with a fizzy eggshell white head that completely disappears quickly, light steady carbo bubbles, no lacing.
S: A hint of hay, very lightly floral, light pastry dough, grains, a hint of corn.
T: Grassy hops, thin caramel malts, grains, corn, a distant hint of bread, has a light aftertaste, lightly fruity overall with vague fruit tastes.
F: Gently crisp medium-light body with a fast and drying finish.
O: The tastes are muted as is the feel. It could use a bit more "life" and it would benefit. It is good in its style.

Pours pale straw golden beer. Thin head that dissipates quickly.

Smells a little sour and hoppy.

Flavor is very good. Tastes kinda “hollow.” Crisp on top, smooth on bottom and not much in between. A little bready, with just enough of a hint of skunky aftertaste to remind me of how beer smelled when I was a kid. Not nearly as hoppy flavored as the smell would make me expect.

Overall, very good. Drinkable. As the label says, crisp and refreshing.

Definitely a super crisp finish here, it's a little too biscuity for me, it almost reminds me of a Helles lager. But overall not terrible and Definitely still drinkable especially for those who just want a "beer" ya'na'mean

I haven't had much of this style so I don't have much frame of reference. It Pours a clear golden yellow, thin head quickly dissipates. Smells a bit fruity. The taste is also fruity yet undescript. Followed by a mild bread taste. Very thin and very sharp from the carbonation. It seems as though this beer is sweeter than expected for the style. I was hoping for something more neutral. But it is one of the better ones I've had recently. Would probably make a great radler.

Sampling a cold 12 oz can poured into my .3L stange. Can is date stamped 6-10-2022. Picked up in July on a work trip to Oxford Ohio.
The beer pours a crystal clear golden color with a few very lazy streams of carbonation rising to the surface. A dense bleached white head of 1 cm foams up in the glass and fades to a thin edge layer soon after the pour.
Aroma is a little bit of grainy malt and some white grape, not much else.
First sip reveals a light body with crisp texture very fine and sort of prickly carbonation. Drinks very easy on each sip.
Flavor is some sweet fruit, grape and green apple with honey mixed in up front. Much sweeter than I expected.
This rolls to some bread and then finishes dry with a bit of floral hop note. Never any booze hit and flavor is pretty nice for the style, sweeter, but not like candy.
I enjoy this beer but its not top tier kolsch, but works just fine.

Got a can of this beer during a recent visit to Cincinnati.

It was poured into a tall tulip glass. Bright yellow color with a brief white head and little lacing. Somewhat sweet fruity smell and taste. Crisp and refreshing beer. I enjoyed it and will try more beers from this brewery.

Not my preferred beer style, but this is pretty nice. Looks appropriate, same with the nose. Plus the flavor of quality that is often lacking in this type. Of course, Wonder is an exceptional brewer, so no surprise.
