the beers should have names in here, but they dont. also, i used to walk into a place for the first time and order ipa every time, how well can you do that i thought, and that was the measure of a place, at least as a first impression, but times have changed, and now i want to see how well you can do something old worldy, light, and crisp, a pils or a cream ale or this, and that seems an equally adequate indicator of quality. this one is fine, a little fuller than most, but still dry and snappy enough, with a relatively classic yeast profile, a simple grist makeup, and not a whole lot else going on, but in this style there really doesnt need to be, and this is a pint after pint type session brew for me. the head is pretty and high, and the carbonation is great, i get some mineral character too, like they took some care with the water chemistry, always important in a beer like this. i think sometimes the quality in a style like this can be more important than the recipe, and thats the case here, the recipe is fine, but the beer itself is very well done. i could make a night of this, especially in their cool little taproom. an unexpected delight!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
