Clear amber colored body; dense, lively carbonation; thin yet lasting head, white and somewhat creamy texture. Initial blast of sage on the nose then transitioning to a light caramel and apricot and peach combination; a little musty; nice sticky bands of foam form around the glass inside. Amazing flavor; honey and musk melon; candi sugar and caramel; bold phenolic bitterness. Heavy, chewy body; dense residual sugar feel; dull earthy sweetness counterbalanced with a mild dryness.
This beer is phenomenal. The appearance and smell are pretty nice, but its true highlights are the rich, dense, and complex flavors and a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Per the bottle label, only 20 cases were produced in October 2022.
