This refreshing malt forward ale has stunning flavours of caramel, toffee and chocolate. Reassuring with a gentle finish.

A pleasant purchase from the Victorian tourist token shop at Melbourne's airport. (Obviously, I'd already gotten thru Security.)
Urban Dark offers a big fluffy persistent head. Smells are more modest; mostly of sweet malt, chocolate variety and then adds a touch of butterscotch (brewer says "toffee.") Taste follows, but by the finish the hops linger nicely and still let the malt return for the final, albeit demur, say. Medium-mouthed and very soft for a soft style.
Paired excellent with a caramel chocolate biscuit served on my one hour flight to Sydney. Is it legal to bring your own beer on board.
My first from UAB, I went on their website and was impressed by how much they have grown in 7 years, a startup soon after Covid hit. UAB has three brewpubs, one helping regenerate the Docklands and the other two in the suburbs. While Urban Dark is a very good beer, UAB's focus seems to be experiential: creating good gathering spots and programming them. And for that strategy and, I presume, quality, I give them very good Overall Hugs.
