predictably great from a brewery who does everything well, but has now been a master of lagers for quite some time, cool to try this, its up there with my favorites of these from this fall. nice rich honey color to this with a low glow and good clarity under a beautiful pure white head, looks right on for the style. the aroma and flavor do the same thing, fresh baked and toasted bread, light toffee, dried apple, chestnut, fig, golden raisin, bran, and old world german lager yeast deployed very professionally, this is just off dry, retains some unique minerality, and is very cohesive, true to style, and frankly properly done enough to be easily confused for an import from one of the greats, which is a heck of a compliment in this style. the body is medium here and there is some pleasant mid palate sweetness, hops are very light, and carbonation is ample, the beer is balanced, highly refined, and perfect for the dead center of fall now. the word is out on this place, no doubt about that, and all the accolades are well deserved, every single time i drink their beer i come away impressed, and that is true with this one too, a really outstanding example of the style, way way ahead of the domestic curve on these. full flavored and yet super drinkable, great stuff.

Taster at share. Golden pour with a small foamy head. Malty, nutty aroma and taste, creamy feel. Full grainy feel, but a iittle light in the ABV department.
