Industrial space with a high, open black ceiling and concrete floor. Windows on three sides. Lighted outdoor patio. Clear view of brewing equipment. L-shaped bar with seating on one leg. Seating is at communal tables with benches, round tables with chairs, several cushioned chairs, and back to back sofas. About twelve brews on tap, with an emphasis on European style. Also branches out to a pale ale, hazy IPA, and a sour. Informative and helpful staff. Beers to go from a cooler at the front, and singles are available. Small parking lot out front may lead to a search for parking around the block. Active and social crowd.

Visited the brewery & facility on a Friday night. Popular spot; parking is a challenge.
Packed, traditional Beer Hall vibe, rows of benches with a few seats on perimiter, a lot of standing space at the bar. Very quick and attentive service. No hip hop. All sorts of 5% tap beer choices, cold cans of some xlnt brews in cans.
You can mosey into the tank area and see where the brew in your glass was made, then head into a quiet space with more benches to contemplate and converse in the presence of dozens of full barrels of aging ales. Fun reading tags of Stout in whiskey and rum barrels.
Nice selection of to-go cans, fresh as you hoped for. Food truck outside, warm pretzels inside.
Overall, one of the best beer culture spots in Salt Lake City, and a must-visit if you’re in town.

Stopped in quickly to pick up some cans to go. Took a look around got a cool vibe from the atmosphere. Excellent service with can selection, and the selection was awesome. Can't wait to visit for longer next time.

Modern and high ceilinged taproom with exposed wooden joists and some metal grid works, above. Lots of long bench type, gray tinted wooden tables. Polished concrete floors and concrete block walls, finish off the ambiance, along with the hanging lamps. They serve tasting samples in great looking squat mini glasses with large out turned lips.

Visited on a Tuesday around 4:30. A small local crowd was present. Seemed like there were a number of the brewers sitting around. Folks playing cards drinking low ABV beers.
Nice bar, facing a large open passage allowing you to enjoy the sights, sounds and aromas of the brewery.
Had only one beer, the Schwartz, but it was very good.
The tender was attentive and friendly. Offered samples and seemed to know her beers.
We are in Utah so the tap selection is limited which means no samples of the high ABV beers and sometimes you have to order a large can or bottle just to try something. But otherwise the selection was good. They had some interesting lagers.

Went here around 8 PM on a Friday (2021-08-20) and sat at the bar. I'm fairly sure the place was 21+, because they were carding everyone at the door.
I had a couple lagers and an IPA. Lagers were well-made. They had maybe 10-12 beers on tap (all 5% abv or less, in compliance with Utah's backwards laws), but they had a variety of canned offerings that ranged up to 11.5%, which you could also drink there. These offerings included bigger IPAs, imperial stout, a Belgian tripel IIRC.
Servers were friendly and knowledgeable, I enjoyed my interactions with them.
Place was crowded, loud, and the crowd had a kind of clubby feel to it (Friday night in SLC, I guess?). Big opening with a view into their brewing operation. I think it would be nice in less busy hours, but that's just me I guess.
Everything they had in cans could be bought to go, and could be bought in singles, which is nice. I think they told me they offered crowlers. I'll probably never be in SLC again, but I would go back.

Brewery in what once was probably an auto repair shop or dealership on the west side on town. Spacious inside with L-shaped bar on the left back wall with table, counter, and barrel seating. About a dozen beer on tap or in cans... I had the Haze Series Batch #3, which was excellent. Steady local crowd and food truck and bottle shop on the way out.

Templin Family is one of the best breweries in Salt Lake City. Some days I feel it is THE best.
The space is modern and open with an industrial vibe. All tap beers are 5% or under, due to stupid Utah laws. They have some higher % beer in cans and to go. I feel their strength is their German styles. They have a keller bier that is quite good. It's not overly complex, it mainly has that grainy/earthy keller bier note, but the note is done right. Their schwarzbier is also good, again not too complex, but no off notes. Ditto for the helles, which has the appropriate bready flavor. You may be noticing a trend here, the beers tend to be solid, not super complex, but done very well. Their rauch bier is a good intro to the style; the smoke isn't overpowering. The weisse is also good.
I've tried Ferda (8.2% IPA) in cans and it is a little inconsistent based on how old it is. The imperial stout (Delmar) is solid but not spectacular.
There are limited snacks you can get in the bar, like nuts and a cheese and meat plate. There's almost always a food truck out front, these rotate, I think.
Bartenders are for the most part knowledgeable and friendly.
I like the variety of sizes, including samples. Try the schnitt pour.
In general, a great place.

after discovering these guys at a beer fest and being wowed earlier this summer, i knew i had to get down here and check it out. their space is awesome, big and new and bustling on a week night. its off a busy road and parking was hard to find, but its worth navigating, as these guys are making some of the best beers ive ever had out of the state of utah. they have a big bar here that can maybe seat 20 or 30 people, and they had about eight beers going on tap, and a couple in cans while we were in. they have a spacious dog friendly patio where we posted up, mellow vibes out there, everyone super nice. the beers were all awesome, some killer lagers including their keller, a helles, and a rye lager, all of which were exceptional. we had a hazy ipa that was solid too, and a cool sour with guava and coconut, seems like they are getting it done across a range of styles, i thought all of it was great. they have nice glassware in here, good vibes, and an obvious attention to detail and quality that stands out in both the beer and in their taproom, i see why business is booming here! its amazing to see how many breweries have come to life in the salt lake area in the last couple of years, its insane, and i really think these guys are the best of the lot, at least in my experience, their beer is original and classic, its refined and inspired, and its a great place to hang. cant wait to go back!
edit: these guys have only gotten better, been back several times over the years and have to tweak the quality up, they are downright epic in a number of areas now from side pull lagers to new school ipa to foeder funky stuff, im loving pretty much all of it and really they have risen well ahead of others locally, props to them for that! unfortunately i also have to bring down the service score a bit, some real pretension flowing in here, the whole roll in an hour to closing time and get told its last call and all that, real short with us for no reason, cocky even, a bad look even though the beer is elite. still, nothing could stop me from hitting this place as often as i am in town, love their work!
