this is absolutely fabulous, not sure how we forgot about two pint cans in the back of the beer fridge for this long, but its held up well and is drinking amazing right now, a top beer in recent memory for me, really special, distinctive, and good, wow. gorgeous from the can, a muted pale yellow color with uniform haziness and only trace sediment towards the bottom. the head is epic, looks can conditioned and rises up a couple inches high and stays there, looks properly belgian. the aroma is splendid, chamomile is strong, tea-like and herbal, lightly bitter, majorly floral and springy, and blends in well with the belgian yeast which brings both white and black pepper notes and soft citrus. i get subtle sage, honeysuckle, and clover, and the wheat malt is obvious, really complex and interesting with the chamomile, smells and tastes like it should be healthy and good for me. light vanilla in the flavor but it isnt sweet, lemon and white grapefruit and even lemongrass, then the chamomile which comes on medicinal for a second and bitter late, but in a good way, bold but highly authentic there, and its this ingredient that really defines the beer for me, along with its epic texture, effervescent, tiny bubbles, almost creamy, like drinking a cloud, amazing. the chamomile has like a grassy green sweetness to it that is so good with the yeast. the ferment is awesome and this is dry and obvious as a wit, but the yeast is somewhat distinctive to me, almost slightly saison-esque or even funky in a good way, i love it. the wheat malt is clean, the feel from it is pillowy, and this is refreshing and satisfying and kind of sexy, i wish i had more of it! this could easily be a full time package for these guys. templin has always ruled, they just dont miss!

Draft schnitt pour into a footed tulip glass
Pours a pale tangerine with a dense foamy head. Left behind an even marbled lacing. 4.25
Fairly earthy clove, but not overpowering holiday note wise, subtle banana sweetness. 3.75
Chamomile is an excellent match for the light wheat in this wit. Earthy, tea and savory fullness. 4
Very mild and moderate body, touch of chewiness and very silky smooth. 4
Overall probably the best adjunct wit I've had to date and love tea flavors in beers, this one won big. 4
