Many thx to JISurfer for this can!

A - Dark brown with very light lacing.

S - Holy cow! This smells just like a blueberry pancakes. Period. Wow! Cooked batter and blueberry.

T - Blueberry, blueberry booze, cake batter, ends on the sweeter side with lingering blueberry cakey alcohol and just a dash of chocolate on the long lingering backside.

M - Light syrupy body with a hefty coating of sugar on the lips and some heat in the back of the throat.

O - As advertised on the label.

tasty but super flavored, slightly overdone for my tastes, especially in a pint can, but no denying the flavors are nice, and this sort of thing is on trend right now, it tastes less cheap and forced than the vast majority of beers in this space, no surprise from these guys, who always hit on quality. the base beer is good, and thats key, nice barrel treatment with the high west bourbon, rich and vanilla forward to me, some alcohol heat, some honeycomb sweetness, lots of body, but balanced by high roast and a coffee note that adds to the morning vibes this casts, if they stopped there it would have been awesome already. blueberry puree, blueberry syrup, and maple syrup are added, and its blueberry forward in aroma and flavor, straight up perkins style on the blueberry side where the sugar, fake color chemical thing, and pastry elements all come from, its fun but its a lot, the maple and real fruit would have done it for me, but it doesnt cheapen this really because it tastes good, candied yes, but good. lots of dark chocolate in here, a fruity espresso lift, vanilla from the wood and whiskey is also persistent. so much body this is totally palate coating, blueberries maxed out, sugar everywhere, maple coming through as it warms, a near permanent decision for my palate, but even with that said, i like the way it slow fades, kind of deconstructs itself, first the malt goes away, then the maple flashes out, finally the blueberries, really neat evolution on this, but a little tricky in a lineup with a bunch of other beers i also want to be able to fully appreciate. this might be best in its own. i was a little let down by the last big stout i had from these guys, zozo, so it was nice to have something in this style so well done. truly different and remarkably tasty, weirdly flavorful, overdone maybe, but its good, it comes together super well overall. small doses but it bangs. enormous beer.

Poured from a can at just warmer than fridge temp. Pours black with quickly dissipating brown head. The nose is fantastic. Blueberries, maple syrup, vanilla, marshmallows, rich chocolate, malts, graham crackers, and a hint of coffee.

The taste is super smooth and delicious. Tons of fresh blueberries, maple, chocolate, brown sugar, almonds, some bourbon, and almost a red wine note. As it warms a bit, black licorice emerges.

The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Sweet aftertaste. Overall, this is sweet (pastry stout), but it's not too sweet. Tastes "real" if that makes sense.
