American-style kettle-sour with lingonberry puree. Sour, tart, slightly sweet finish. (What does a lingonberry taste like, you ask? Think Cranberry, but slightly more bitter.

neat beer, cool to see this fruit on display in a beer thats no tarter than it, and without being paired up with more familiar and more powerful flavors as it sometimes is when it finds its way into beers, so i was excited for this, simple and clean and good, nice almost medicinal character to the fruit with some herbal bitterness, but a very drinkable beer overall, served by the pint where i had it, and its fine in that glass from a volume standpoint. not much if any color to this, but i have it in a swanky cocktail bar that has so little light and its hard to be sure, but what i am sure of is how bubbly this is, airy wispy white head several inches high on a beer that looks really light underneath it, lots of bubbles and life, excited beer, nice for a fruited sour i reckon. the nose is cool tangy and lemony, notes of hibiscus and rose hips and those sort of things, possible red currant, very light wheat type malt, tight minerality, an almost lagered character, subtle doughy yeast, pils character, and straw, summery more than wintery, and instantly refreshing to me even before i taste it. the flavor is clean and quick, tart and almost healthful, the lingonberry is awesome, cranberry-like but also floral, and the tartness from the souring accentuates its earthiness, red berry and minerality too, light white wine, even champagne from the ferment which is cool, light funk with the pucker, but drinkable, not too acidic, light green pear and melon even, bright and verdant, bitter from the berry it seems to close, almost salted level dryness, impossibly clean for what it is. wonderful execution and showcase of an uncommon beer fruit which seems built for a true berliner like this. i hope to drink some more of this in the near future...

16oz can from Sledutah. Pale golden pour, sparse bubbly head. Sweet, berry aroma. Taste features strong berry flavors, light tartness, dryness. Tasty.
