i had absolutely no idea these guys made beer like this, so awesome, love everything else they do and this is as good as anticipated, clear glass mixed culture beer with citrus, i think they misspelled the fruit on the label? either way, its delicious, pale richer blonde to golden color with just a light haze to it and a decent airy head slowly fading back. the nose on it is awesome, almost perfumy from the fruit, zesty and full of essential oils and freshness, really peppy, and its fruit over ferment to my nose, light funk and tang here, very light oak, white wine notes, subtle peachy sweetness too, yellow florals, and honey, seems wheaty at its core but light enough to also have some pils malt in it. not overly mature in the flavor, like there is still a bit of sweetness here and not a lot of wood. also the brett part of this is behind the bacterial part, maybe a saison strain in play here too, soft white pepper ester in the mix, and not that this is sour, but that the funk is restrained. the fruit is awesome though, bold and fresh, both identifiable, notes of grapefruit and pomelo and tangerine and meyer lemon, a slight floor cleaner aspect to it, but just because its strong. the grain is pretty subtle, the ferment is neat, and i bet this ages pretty well, at least in the medium term. fun to try something like this from these guys, i love the packaging and i hope there is more like this on the way, a series. a standout from our bottle share, thanks to whoever brought it!
