Pint can brought to France from the brewery in Salt Lake City, UT USA. Poured into a Firestone Walker taster’s snifter. Packed in November, 2023.
Visually bland, just oily brew.
But then this treat comes alive! Festive warming spicy aroma of gingerbread, chocolate, big big bourbon notes.
Taste is an all-night party. Rich and delicious; imagine burnt marshmallow scraped from a charred whisky barrel. Full flavor of ginger snaps follows in tandem with clove and nutmeg. Bourbon vanilla extract hits, and the barrel leaves a lonnnng dry finish - with a final little sweet kiss.
Just supurb art of the craft here.
Mouth is medium, with medium carbonation.
Overall, Traditional “Lebkuchen Cookies” are given as gifts of affection during the the harvest season in the Franconian area of Germany. This bier was a true labor of love: aged for over a year in barrels, named after TFB’s owner’s father. Small batch, big flavors. Simply wonderful.,.
